Engaging audiences with the spoken word, Matt has featured as part of national conferences, using performance poetry to enlighten, worship, advocate and speak truth.

His filmed performances of ‘Prophesy’ and ‘It starts with and it ends with’ have been widely used.

In this short film Matt explores harmful ideas around masculinity that can contribute to gender-based violence. The poem was featured by the United Nations during the 69th Session of the Commission on the status of Women in March 2025, a global conference focussed on gender equality and the empowerment of women. .
